Upgraded Rope Guides + Summer Fun + Opportunities

In this update:

  1. New Rope Guides
  2. Summer Laps with the PL1
  3. Request for Feedback
  4. Opportunities

We've upgraded the rope guides on the PL1 so that your rope will last longer. The new guides are designed to cause less wear on the rope. They also make attaching the rope just a little bit quicker and easier. It's a small change that we hope will make a substantial difference for our customers. If you're a customer who wants to upgrade your rope guides, please reach out to us and we will send you a pair for the cost of shipping.

We managed to do a little testing in the summer heat. After a four hour hike with skis on our backs and the PL1 in tucked securely in our pack, we got some fun laps in what's left of the snow this time of year. Without having to navigate any glaciers we skied some mid July sun cups and enjoyed a relaxing night in one of BC's many public alpine huts. We're super grateful to live and work in the massive coastal mountains of British Columbia, where we can ski all year long, as long as we're willing to go for a hike! It's a competitive advantage that we try to exploit when it comes to off-season prototyping and product testing.

We want to hear from you about what we should be prioritizing while we design and prototype new accessories for the PL1. Right now we are working on a harness prototype that we are really excited about. One version is extremely simple and meant to be lightweight and easy to use, while the other will double as a carrier for the PL1 that can save you valuable storage space in your backpack while also being a comfortable harness. Which version would you like to see in production and are there any other accessories that you think could improve your experience with the PL1? Let us know!

As we continue to work towards next season, we're reaching out to anyone interested in joining the Zoa Engineering team through investment or partnership in our business. We're seeking distributors to help us expand our operations into Europe, and we're looking for investors or partners to help us develop our operations and products. If you, or someone you know, wants to help us grow our business, please get in touch.

Stay cool out there,

Zoa Engineering Team
