Patience. Mastering patience is one of many critical skills to being a skier/boarder, and even more so for the backcountry touring crowd. Waiting for the temperatures and the first snowflakes to fall, waiting for conditions to be skiable, waiting for perfect weather, avalanche and safety conditions and so on.
Running a startup can often be much the same. When we launched we had big visions for the future and then had to hunker down and make it happen. Oftentimes, waiting for parts, waiting for testing, waiting to perfect our product, waiting on shipping delays, waiting for funding, waiting to fully launch.
Whether in backcountry touring or launching a small business, the payoff for those who have patience and put in the hard work is exhilaration.

Thank you to all of you who attempted to get in on our very limited sale of 5 PL1 Complete Packages on Friday, October 6th. We had a few glitches in the process that we learned from and we promise a smoother ride for our next sale. The main issue we experienced was due to the low volume of inventory for sale and some inventory challenges in the cart that we have fixed. We’ve learned a few good lessons, and look forward to having more inventory on hand in the very near future - see point 3
2. . BIG NEWS! ZOA going big with a new co-founder/investor and new headquarters
We are excited to announce that as of the start of October Zoa has officially welcomed a third co-founder and investor to the team. Andrew Zwicker brings a wealth of ski industry experience and contacts to the team and a sales and marketing background. Andrew will be a valuable addition to what Robert and Eric Button have gotten started.

With the new investment, we’ll be moving into our new headquarters in Vancouver, BC over the next couple of weeks, we’ve put in orders for parts and we’re officially re-launching with a full order of inventory going on sale on November 10th.

This is the news we’ve been waiting for. There will be a round of 50 PL1 Complete Packages going on sale at our new store on Friday, November 10th at noon Pacific time. We had 155 logins to our sale of 5 full PL1 packages on October 6th, so we’ll send you our supporters a quick reminder on the day of the sale. We promise no passwords this time and a much smoother process.
